COL VETORAZ

Col Vetoraz Winery was founded in 1838 by the Miotto family among the gentle, green hills of the Valdobbiadene wine region. Always devoted to producing sparkling wines of remarkable quality, each label stands out in the local and international wine scene for its balance, elegance, and harmony of aromas. The estate covers about 20 hectares of Glera vineyards located at 400 meters above sea level, near Conegliano Valdobbiadene. Its calcareous soils and fresh, breezy climate, marked by significant temperature variations, provide the ideal conditions for producing grapes of the highest quality, rich in freshness and aromatic precursors. During harvest, carried out exclusively by hand, the clusters are carefully selected, and parcel-by-parcel separation is maintained during vinification, allowing for the creation of the finest cuvées through blending. Production follows the Charmat method to preserve the aromatic profile and unique character of the Glera variety. Col Vetoraz produces wines under two of the most prestigious DOCG appellations in the Prosecco production area: Valdobbiadene DOCG and Valdobbiadene Superiore di Cartizze DOCG. Since 2017, the winery has chosen to remove the term “Prosecco” from all labels, opting instead to promote the Valdobbiadene area.
