More info

The Barolo “Vignarionda” of Oddero is a red wine with a great equilibrium and harmony. It is produced with Nebbiolo grapes that come from the wine yard “Vignarionda”, thus said for its particular round structure, within a valley completely sunny in Serralunga district. This wine has a ruby red color and an elegant and soft bouquet, with mixed berries, spice, dark chocolate, licorice and tobacco notes. The taste is pleasant, intense and persistent; it has strong tannins, a good structure and an excellent persistence. The Barolo “Vignarionda” is perfect if drunk with roasted or stuffed red meats, game and aging cheeses. This wine is very suitable for long-lasting aging.

Manufacturer

All along Oddero family is owner of vineyards, so it is very difficult to establish a precise beginning of the wine making process. Lorenzo and Luigi started to produce wine at the end of 800, starting from their vineyards of La Morra. Giacomo Oddero, grandfather of the present manager of this cave, took part of the International Exposition of Torino in 1991, where he proposed his Barolo wine. Presently the winery is carried on by Mariacristina and Mariavittoria, who have inherited by their father the cult of wine and its origins.
