This is an excellent Chardonnay that mirrors the purity and the typicalness of the small Maison: the wine includes a complex bouquet of fruited and floral aroma, in addition to white peach’s hints. Moreover, this kind of wine is endowed with a good body and structure, and it is balanced, too, with a correct acidity and persistence. It must be fresh served, perfect with fish dinners, shellfish and sea food.
Lucien Le Moine it is a small ‘Maison de négoce’ of Bearne, and it belongs to Mounir Saouma and his wife: in 1999 they have decided to realize their wish of living and producing Burgery wines, because they were inspired by a passion for all what concerns wine. The name of the cave derives from the names of the owners: in fact, in Lebanese Mounir means light, so in French it is Lucien, while Le Moine means monk, and this last refers to the first wine experience of Mounir in a monastery in the Middle East: there, Mounir has began to become fond about viticulture. But there is a strange aspect in Mounir and his wife’s production, because they have no vineyards, but each year they search the best ones, looking for mind every aspects of wine. Mounir and his wife have the habit of taste the wine after the pressing, in order to understand the essence of it and then study its composition.
