The Barbaresco "Vursu Gallina" of La Spinetta is produced with Nebbiolo grapes cultivated iin the “Gallina” Cru in Neive district. Elegant and pleasant, this wine has an intense ruby red color and a fruity bouquet with mixed berry, blackberry and raspberry scents. The taste is rich, persistent, round, with spiced scents and rose petal, mint, anise and red fruit notes. It is perfect if drunk with grilled meat, juicy first courses, red meat braised, game and aging cheeses.


La Spinetta

The history of Rivetti’s family starter in 1890, when Giovanni Rivetti left for Argentina, by abandoning his family in Italy. His son Giuseppe began to lay the foundations for the building of a cave: so he started the wines’ production and the Rivetti family settled in La Spinetta, in Castagnole Lanze in 1977, where it was produced the first red wine, Barbera Cà di Pian. Recently the Rivetti’s have purchased some vineyards in Grinzane Cavour, where an art cave has been founded, and it is called Barolo Campè. Nowadays Rivetti’vineyards extend in Toscana, too, by occupying about 65 hectares of the territory.
