More info

The Barolo Mosconi of E. Pira e Figli winery is an excellent red wine made with grapes cultivated on the Barolo hills.

On view, it shows a characteristic and intense ruby red color, while when it is into the glass it releases fruity scents and sensations of pink canine, ripe fruit and plum.

In mouth, it is austere and velvety with a soft and well-balanced tannic body.

It is excellent to drink in combination with important dishes of red meat, game and seasoned cheeses

Manufacturer

Pira family asserts as wine producer between the end of 800 and the beginning of the 900. Gigi Pira, the creator of this cave, was really attached to the tradition, in fact he was the last wine maker who still effected the wine pressing with the foot, without the help of any innovative technique. The cave is managed by Cristina Boschis from many years: all along she is passionate of wine and vineyards. Cristina has introduced lots of innovations in the winery: the work in the vineyards is manual, but she respects the environment.
