The Nebbiolo d'Alba by Cornarea is made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the sunny hills of the Roero area. These grapes are picked up the first week of October. The wine presents a ruby red colour, with some yellow-crowned reflexes, while its aroma are fruited and floral, with hints of cherry, red currant, violet, followed by spices, licorice and cinnamon. Its taste is warm, dry, fresh: thank to its features, the Nebbiolo d'Alba by Cornarea is perfect if served in combination with second platters based on meat, roasts, stuffed pasta and medium seasoned cheeses.
The cave is collocated at the door of Canale, a district in the area of the Roero, on the slopes of the historical and old hill of Cornarea, called in this manner since the year 1000. In the half 70s years, Piero Bovone and Francesca Rapetti decided to plaint again an old and almost dead white vineyard: the Arneis, that was recovered by the living lines in the Nebbiolo’s vineyards. Gian Nicola Bovone and the lawyer Pierfranco Bovone entered this cave and now they wanted to maintain the tradition and the quality of the Cornarea in the production of wines as Roero Arneis, Roero docg and Nebbiolo d’Alba.
