This Barolo Cannubi of Pira e Figli winery is harmonic and it is grown from Nebbiolo grapes deriving from the famous “cru” situated in Barolo. This kind of wine presents an intense ruby red colour, in addition to some orange reflexes: its bouquet is various and charming, besides intense with floral hints of rose and violet, mature red fruit and jam, together with mint and eucalyptus, truffles, wet soils and tobacco ones. Moreover, its softness makes of this wine a warm and vigorous one, at the same time elegant. Thanks to its features, this wine is perfect in combination with red meats, roasted and braised meats, game, seasoned cheeses and platters based on the famous Alba White Truffle.

Manufacturer

E. Pira e Figli

Pira family asserts as wine producer between the end of 800 and the beginning of the 900. Gigi Pira, the creator of this cave, was really attached to the tradition, in fact he was the last wine maker who still effected the wine pressing with the foot, without the help of any innovative technique. The cave is managed by Cristina Boschis from many years: all along she is passionate of wine and vineyards. Cristina has introduced lots of innovations in the winery: the work in the vineyards is manual, but she respects the environment.
