More info

The Barolo Bricco Ambrogio of Paolo Scavino is produced with Nebbiolo grapes coming from the cru with the same name in Roddi district. It shows an intense ruby red colour and a composite and full bouquet with red fruit’s jam and violet smells, in addition to licorice and aromatic herbs hints. The taste of it is rich, charming and persistent, with important tannins but equilibrated at the same time. For its peculiarities, it’s perfect if drunk with red meats roasted or braised, game and seasoned cheeses.

Manufacturer

This cave was founded by Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto. The winery counts about 23 hectares of vineyards, that allow the cave to sell 120000 bottles every year. Nowadays the wines’ production is managed by Enrico Scavino, together with his two daughters. The Scavino’s winery is known for its care and attention and for the belief that the viticulture is more important than the oenology. The wines distinguish themselves for the purity, the elegance and the twine of traditions and territories.
