More info

This wine is endowed with a great personality and it is obtained thanks to some selected Nebbiolo grapes. The colour of it is a ruby red one, with some garnet-colored reflexes; furthermore, the perfume is a fragrant and fruited one, in addition to smells of cherry, strawberry, blueberry and spices, besides vanilla and licorice ones. This wine is a dry one, but at the same time it has a good structure: for these peculiarities it is perfect in combination with important platters based on meat, as roasts and braised beef.

Manufacturer

The cave of Giacomo Vico is situated in Canale, near the historical centre, where the green hills descend towards the country. The history of this winery goes back up the end of 1800, even if we have not official documents in which the date of the wine trade’s beginning appears, we can say around 1890. Giacomo began to produce all the typical wines of the territory. Today, the successors are inspired by the spirit of their grandfather, and so they look for create high quality wine, by using grapes which derive from Roero’s area.
