San Michele Roero Arneis docg Deltetto 2022 BIO

The San Michele Roero Arneis by Deltetto is so called because it is produced with the grapes of the eldest Arneis vineyard of the winery, situated near the same cave and since 1975 belongs to Deltetto family. The name hails from an old tradition to build a church on each hill: in this manner people believed that the Saint of the Church protect the harvesting from the weather. The San Michele Roero Arneis is a white wine and it has a straw yellow colour, with a smell of exotic fruits, apple and vanilla. Its structure and elegance make it perfect even for the aging. It perfect also if drumk in combination with seafood, pasta with vegetables, white meats and fresh cheeses.

Since 1953 the Deltetto cave produces high quality wines of Langa and Roero. It is settled in Canale and established by Carlo Deltetto: the philosophy of the cave has as purpose the respect of nature and of the great Piedmont’s tradition of wine. Now the winery is managed by the son of Carlo, Antonio, together with his wife Graziella and their sons Carlo, Cristina and Claudia. There is a various and complete production, which includes red wines of the tradition as Roero Braja, Barolo Sistaglia, Barbera Rocca delle Marasche, and Barbera Bramè, but also white wines typical of Roero as Arneis San Michele, Arneis Daivei and Favorita Servaj.
