The Michele Chiarlo Barbera d'Asti La Court Vigna Veja is obtained by Barbera grapes cultivated in the oldest vines of the "La Court" vineyard. A small production of just 3000 bottles, characterized by a very special label made by the Italian Pop Art master Ugo Nespolo. At sight, it shows a bright red color with purple shades. In the nose, it is balanced and fruity, with notes of ripe cherries, berries and spices. It is a elaborated Barbera d’Asti, endowed with an excellent structure and a long and persistent final. A wine for connoisseurs, it is ideal to drink in combination with the traditional Piedmontese first dishes and medium-aged cheeses.
The cave was founded by Michele Chiarlo in 1956: staring from the beginning he has started to purchase ample territories in the province of Asti, in order to produce Barbera and Moscato wines. Today Michele Chiarlo is supported by his sons Alberto and Stefano, and together they produce high quality wines, thanks to the modernity of the cave’s techniques. The production of Michele Chiarlo is very huge and it goes from the Barbera d’Asti wine, which has a fresh and balanced taste, to the Barolo wine, that has a more complex taste.
