Barbera d'Alba doc Superiore Oddero 2019

Barbera d'Alba Superiore by Oddero is a refined red wine, aged eighteen months before being bottled. It has an intense ruby red color with violet shades. The  nose is floral, fruity, with scents of strawberry, and black cherry. In the mouth, it is characterized by a good acidity. The after-taste is persistent, a typical Barbera peculiarity. We recommend Barbera d'Alba by Oddero with pasta or grilled red meat.

All along Oddero family is owner of vineyards, so it is very difficult to establish a precise beginning of the wine making process. Lorenzo and Luigi started to produce wine at the end of 800, starting from their vineyards of La Morra. Giacomo Oddero, grandfather of the present manager of this cave, took part of the International Exposition of Torino in 1991, where he proposed his Barolo wine. Presently the winery is carried on by Mariacristina and Mariavittoria, who have inherited by their father the cult of wine and its origins.
