More info

The Barolo Brunate of Oddero is produced with Nebbiolo grapes strictly grown with organic methods on the hills around La Morra, in the heart of the Langhe hills. After aging in oak barrels, it passes one year in bottle at least before being placed on the market. It strikes immediately at the sight with a bright ruby red colour with garnet reflexes; later it reach the nose with fragrances of rose and violet in addition to hints of black currant and black cherry. On the palate, it has a dry and persistent taste, which improves sip after sip. It has tannins delicate and never intrusive; it’s a wine with a good longevity to try absolutely with courses based on game and aged cheeses.

Manufacturer

All along Oddero family is owner of vineyards, so it is very difficult to establish a precise beginning of the wine making process. Lorenzo and Luigi started to produce wine at the end of 800, starting from their vineyards of La Morra. Giacomo Oddero, grandfather of the present manager of this cave, took part of the International Exposition of Torino in 1991, where he proposed his Barolo wine. Presently the winery is carried on by Mariacristina and Mariavittoria, who have inherited by their father the cult of wine and its origins.
