The Barolo Perno "Vigna Cappella di Santo Stefano" of Rocche dei Manzoni winery takes its name from the prestigious cru. It matures for three years in barriques, before refining in bottle for one more year. Bright ruby red coloured, at nose it is characterized by a large and refined bouquet, with aromas of rose and berries. On the palate, it is tannic and balanced, favoring a long lasting and pleasant final. It is extraordinary to drink in combination with roast and braised meats.

Rocche dei Manzoni

The Rocche dei Manzoni winery was born by the will of Valentino Migliorini, already successful restaurateur, to combine his wine knowledge and his talent as an experimenter. For this reason, as early as 1974, he bought the first farmhouse in Monforte d'Alba and began his adventure as a wine producer. Rocche dei Manzoni was one of the first realities of the Langhe to introduce barriques for the maturation of wine and to produce sparkling wines with the classic method. The winery, now managed by his son Rodolfo, reserves great attention to the respect of the ecosystem such as to install in the vineyards artificial nests of birds and bats to eliminate insects.
