Since 1958 this wine is produced and it is considered one of the best wine in the oenology’s tradition. It shows a ruby red colour, with some nuances of the same tone, while the bouquet is charming and complex, even if it is not very strong, but long, in addition to floral scents of violet, and other red fruits, together with jams. The taste of it is soft and warm, with soft tannins, in perfect balance with its freshness, that makes it predisposed for a long aging. Thanks to its features, this wine accompanies perfectly roasted meats, game, seasoned cheeses together with jam or mustard. Eventually, this wines is excellent if drunk alone, because it is a meditation wine.

Manufacturer

The cave arises in 1857 in Verona and it was established by Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani. The importance of this cave is that it was one of the first Italian wineries to understand the value of the wine in bottles: for this reason lots of investments were made in the vineyards, in order to bottle and export Italian quality. Today Bertani is a cave that places its wines in the world: moreover it includes vineyards abd caves of Valpolicella, in addition to some territories in the Garda’s Lake.
