More info

The Barbaresco "Montersino” of Orlando Abrigo winery is an excellent red wine obtained from the sub-variety of Nebbiolo "Lampia"grown on the hills of Treiso. After a year of aging in wood, it shows a wonderful ruby red colour. In the nose you immediately perceive hints of berries followed by hazelnut and mint, on a spicy background. On the palate it comes light at first and then it reveals the consistency of its tannins. It can be consumed immediately, perhaps accompanied with red meat, game and dishes of the Piedmont tradition based on truffle; or you can let it age for a few years in the cellar.

Manufacturer

From generation to generation the Abrigo family devotes himself to vineyards’ plantation: in fact Giovanni Abrigo, Orlando’s son, began to work with his father in the familiar vineyards in 1988. Presently the Abrigo’s cave, situated in Treiso, works on a surface of 20 hectares of vineyards: a part of them are destined to traditional wines’ production, as Barbaresco and Barbera, even if the other part of vineyards is destined to new vineyards.
