More info

The Barbera d'Asti Cà di Pian by La Spinetta is an elegant piedmontese wine with a nice ruby red colour and violet nuances. It offers an intense and fruited bouquet with hints of mature red fruit, blackberries and black cherries. This wine is endowed with a good structure, with a fruited and well-balanced taste, but at the same time fresh and persistent. The Barbera d'Asti Cà di Pian by La Spinetta is excellent in combination with first courses of fresh pasta, Piedmontese cured meat and medium seasoned cheeses.

La Spinetta

The history of Rivetti’s family starter in 1890, when Giovanni Rivetti left for Argentina, by abandoning his family in Italy. His son Giuseppe began to lay the foundations for the building of a cave: so he started the wines’ production and the Rivetti family settled in La Spinetta, in Castagnole Lanze in 1977, where it was produced the first red wine, Barbera Cà di Pian. Recently the Rivetti’s have purchased some vineyards in Grinzane Cavour, where an art cave has been founded, and it is called Barolo Campè. Nowadays Rivetti’vineyards extend in Toscana, too, by occupying about 65 hectares of the territory.
