More info

The Barolo Riserva “Monvigliero” of the Castello di Verduno winery is an excellent red wine that is well structured, intense and elegant. It has a nice ruby red color and fresh and fruity aromas with notes of ripe red fruit, jam and cinnamon. In mouth it has strong tannins and a long and persistent ending. It is perfect to accompany meat dishes such as roast or game or seasoned cheeses.

Manufacturer

The history of the the Castello di Verduno winery has its roots in the 1838, the year in which Re Carlo Alberto of Savoia purchased the Castle. He entrusted the management to General Staglieno, who was a military man and an expert enologist: he obtained a great wine from the best vineyards of Nebbiolo, the Barolo of Castello di Verduno. At the beginning of 1900’s the Burlotto family became the owner of the Castle and pursued the tradition in the wine making of Savoia. Nowadays Gabriella, Elisa and Liliana Burlotto manage the property producing great red wines, obtained by the wonderful combination of tradition, natural approach and great competence.
