More info

The Barolo Briccolina by the “La Briccolina” winery is made with Nebbiolo grapes grown in the cru of Serralunga d'Alba with the same name. This wine, aged in large barrels, is an energetic and aromatic wine from beginning to end, powerful and graceful. The Barolo “The Briccolina” has a red pomegranate color with orange reflexes. It is fruity, floral and very expressive, with notes of cherry, raspberry, plum, fresh roses, violet and underbrush. It is a full-bodied wine but well concentrated, with strong but not intrusive tannins. It is excellent to accompany meat dishes such as roast or game or with seasoned cheeses. The Barolo Briccolina is a rare and precious wine, enjoy it!

Manufacturer

The winery “La Bricciolina” was founded in 1923 by the Grasso family and takes its name from the vineyard “Briccolina” in Serralunga d’Alba. Historically, Nebbiolo grapes were sold to other wineries, until Tiziano, assisted by his son Daniele, decided to set aside grapes for themselves and started producing Barolo. Their first bottling was in the 2012 vintage with the Barolo “Briccolina”, a very rare and valuable wine. Unfortunately, Tiziano died suddenly in 2017 leaving his son Daniele the task of making known the Barolo “La briccolina” all over the world.
