Montebruna Barbera d'Asti docg Giacomo Bologna Braida 2018

Elegant Barbera d’Asti wine produced with the grapes which come from the “Montebruna” property, in Rocchetta Tanaro: the letters that compose the name of the label represent the different names of the plots of land that constitute it. It shows an intense ruby red colour mixed to a yellow-crowned one; moreover, it owns a various and fruited bouquet with hints of currant, mature blackberries and cherries. Thanks to its qualities of freshness, balance, pleasant acidity and good structure, this wine is perfect in combination with first courses based on pasta, second ones based on meat and medium seasoned cheeses.

The history of the cave, situated in Rocchetta Tanaro, has a beginning with the nickname of ‘Braida’, that was attributed to Giuseppe Braida, during the elastic football match, a typical sport of Piedmont. Giacomo Bologna has inherited the nickname and the love for wine and soil from his father. Today Raffaella and Giuseppe Bologna manage the cave and they represent the third ‘Braida’ generation: they have transformed the taste of Barbera wine too, by giving to this kind of wine a noble and a quality taste.
