This elegant Barbera d’Asti wine takes its name from a dialectal expression of Piedmont: “Ai Suma”, that means “Here we are”, or better we have reached the wished level. This is a great wine of the cave, only produced in the best and favourable years. It owns an intense ruby red colour, with some dark red nuances; its perfumes are various with hints of cherry and mixed berries, vanilla, liquorice and cacao. Furthermore, it is endowed with a big structure and a good acidity, besides its persistence. For this it has to be drunk in combination with flavourful first courses, second platters based on meat, roasts and seasoned cheeses.

Giacomo Bologna "Braida"

The history of the cave, situated in Rocchetta Tanaro, has a beginning with the nickname of ‘Braida’, that was attributed to Giuseppe Braida, during the elastic football match, a typical sport of Piedmont. Giacomo Bologna has inherited the nickname and the love for wine and soil from his father. Today Raffaella and Giuseppe Bologna manage the cave and they represent the third ‘Braida’ generation: they have transformed the taste of Barbera wine too, by giving to this kind of wine a noble and a quality taste.
