More info

The Cipressi of Michele Chiarlo winery is a red wine made with 100% of Barbera grapes, cultivated on the hills around Castelnuovo Calcea. After one year of aging in large barrel and  few months in bottle, you get an excellent wine of a nice intense ruby red color, tending to purple. The bouquet has fruity aromas with notes of red fruit, ripe cherry and raspberry; the taste is soft, complex and sapid, well structured and characterized by a persistent ending. This Barbera d'Asti combines very well with traditional pasta with of Piedmont and cold cuts.

Manufacturer

Michele Chiarlo

The cave was founded by Michele Chiarlo in 1956: staring from the beginning he has started to purchase ample territories in the province of Asti, in order to produce Barbera and Moscato wines. Today Michele Chiarlo is supported by his sons Alberto and Stefano, and together they produce high quality wines, thanks to the modernity of the cave’s techniques. The production of Michele Chiarlo is very huge and it goes from the Barbera d’Asti wine, which has a fresh and balanced taste, to the Barolo wine, that has a more complex taste.
