Langhe doc Nebbiolo Castello di Verduno 2020

Langhe doc Nebbiolo by Castello di Verduno winery is an excellent wine produced with 100% of Nebbiolo grapes. With a nice bright ruby red color, the nose develops pleasant scents that remember rose and violet, on a slightly spicy background. It reveals a good freshness, the mouthfeel is pleasant, intense and well drinkable. Nebbiolo of Castello di Verduno is perfect to drink in combination with boiled meats, pasta with ragout sauce, roasted rabbit or seasoned cheeses.

The history of the the Castello di Verduno winery has its roots in the 1838, the year in which Re Carlo Alberto of Savoia purchased the Castle. He entrusted the management to General Staglieno, who was a military man and an expert enologist: he obtained a great wine from the best vineyards of Nebbiolo, the Barolo of Castello di Verduno. At the beginning of 1900’s the Burlotto family became the owner of the Castle and pursued the tradition in the wine making of Savoia. Nowadays Gabriella, Elisa and Liliana Burlotto manage the property producing great red wines, obtained by the wonderful combination of tradition, natural approach and great competence.
