This is en elegant Riesling, made with grapes coming from the Cru Castel Ringberg vineyards, on a hill near the Caldaro lake. The sight of it is a hell and fresh straw yellow colour, with a rich floral bouquet, with the add of white peach, citrus fruits, fresh grass and a bit mineral. The taste of it expresses the great freshness and the balanced acidity, revealing a persistent wine with a great structure. It is better to drink it as a fresh appetizer or in alternative in combination with fish platters, sea food and mollusc, too.
Elena Walch has been one of the first protagonist of a qualitative revolution in the locality of Alto Adige. Elena Walch has two significant estates: that of Ringberg Castle, that covers about 18 hectares of vineyards, and that of Kastelaz, that extends on a surface of 5 hectares. The most important estate is that of Ringberg Castle, a castle that was built by the Hapsburgs in 1620, and it was a titled house. The winery, that one time houses a Jesuit convent, was established in 1869 and today it is a perfect summary between historicity, represented by old barrels, and modernity, symbolized by the Bistrot of the garden, ‘Le verre capricieux’.
