Barbaresco docg Camp Gros Martinenga Riserva Marchesi di Gresy 2018

The Barbaresco Campo Gros Martinenga by the Marchesi di Gresy winery is a wine only produced with the best vintages with selected grapes coming from a little part of the Martinenga vineyard, near the Rabajà territory, which is really adapt for the Nebbiolo grapes’ cultivation. This is a complex and harmonic wine with a brilliant dark red colour and orange reflexes, while it includes an intense and various bouquet with red fruit’s jam, wild berries, dark cherries, plums, in addition to scents of wood, cinnamon, licorice and cacao. The taste is a full and harmonic one: these peculiarities give it balance, structure and persistence. Moreover, this wine is endowed with a good capacity of aging. The Barbaresco Camp Gros Martinenga by Marchesi di Gresy is perfect to accompanie important courses based on red meat, seasoned cheeses and game.

The estate Martinenga became property of the nobles Marchesi di Gresy in 1797: Alberto di Gresy spent his childhood in this building, by learning to appreciate that soil and its products. Alberto began the wines’ production of Tenuta Cisa Asinari of Gresy in 1973, starting from the lines, that at the beginning were used by other people, up to a real wines’ production.
Today the cave produces excellent wines that are exported in all the world.
