More info

Elegant and complex Barolo wine, produced with Nebbiolo grapes deriving from the “Cerequio” Cru, situated on a hill that benefits from good expositions and collocated between the districts of La Morra and Barolo. This Barolo wine presents a lively ruby red colour, while its bouquet is various and charming with smells of black currants, apricot, spices, mint and licorice. The great softness and its rich and aristocratic body make it a soft and velvety wine. It is better if drunk after 5/6 years, but it manages to go beyond the 20 years of aging. Perfect in combination with braised or roasted meat, game and seasoned cheeses.

Manufacturer

Michele Chiarlo

The cave was founded by Michele Chiarlo in 1956: staring from the beginning he has started to purchase ample territories in the province of Asti, in order to produce Barbera and Moscato wines. Today Michele Chiarlo is supported by his sons Alberto and Stefano, and together they produce high quality wines, thanks to the modernity of the cave’s techniques. The production of Michele Chiarlo is very huge and it goes from the Barbera d’Asti wine, which has a fresh and balanced taste, to the Barolo wine, that has a more complex taste.
