The Barolo Riserva Rocche dell'Annunziata of Paolo Scavino is a refined and elegant red wine, produced with Nebbiolo grapes coming from the historical and prestigious “Cru” collocated in La Morra. This wine owns an intense ruby red colour and it is considered the “Reserve” of Paolo Scavino’s cave. It can be described as a charming wine, with a various bouquet, at the same time complex and elegant, with floral and fruited hints of spices, licorice, leather and tobacco. Furthermore, it is characterized by softness, elegant and refined tannins with freshness, too: it is endowed with persistence, and for these reasons it accompanies perfectly important platters based on red meats, game and seasoned cheeses. Eventually, this wine has an excellent capacity of aging.
This cave was founded by Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto. The winery counts about 23 hectares of vineyards, that allow the cave to sell 120000 bottles every year. Nowadays the wines’ production is managed by Enrico Scavino, together with his two daughters. The Scavino’s winery is known for its care and attention and for the belief that the viticulture is more important than the oenology. The wines distinguish themselves for the purity, the elegance and the twine of traditions and territories.
