Brunello di Montalcino docg Ugolforte Tenuta San Giorgio 2016

Great red wine that takes its name from that of a famous robber, lived in the XII century, that ran a revolt against the occupation of Siena. This wine presents an intense ruby red colour with light orange reflexes. This wine is endowed with great consistence, while its smell reveals a various bouquet, in addition to scents of cherry, plum, red fruit’s jams, black pepper and cinnamon, besides mint and sweet tobacco. This wine owns great body and it is harmonic, too: thanks to its characteristics, it is perfect if drunk together with roasted meats, game, great seasoned cheeses

The winery is located in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, in the territory of Montalcino district. In 2002 the farm was bought by Claudio Tipa, owner of Collemassari. Tenuta San Giorgio is located on the rolling hills of Tuscany and covers an area of about 142, of which 26 hectares are cultivated with vineyards. Tenuta San Giorgio enjoys an excellent position and an excellent microclimate, that allow it to produce Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino wines, which stand out for their high quality.
