Monferrato rosso doc "San Germano" Marchesi Alfieri 2016

Elegant red wine grown from Pinot nero’s grapes; this wine is only produced in the best years. The colour of this wine is an intense ruby red one, while its bouquet is really complex with hints of violet, mixed berries, blueberry, currant and raspberry. The taste of this wine is various and includes an important structure: thanks to its taste, this wine is excellent in combination with first platters, second platters based on meat, game and seasoned cheeses.

The cave was founded 20 years ago in the Alfieri Castle in the locality of San Martino Alfieri. Among the different and famous personalities, that inhabited the castle and appreciated wine and territory, there were the architect Benedetto and above all the Senate President Cesare Alfieri. Presently the cave, that counts 25 hectares of vineyards, is in the hands of the three sisters Emanuela, Giovanna and Antonella, who have appraised the historical heritage and they have exalt this castle’s building, too.
