Sauvignon Blanc Lafoa Colterenzio 2017

This Sauvignon gives the name to the Lafoà vineyards, situated between Cornaiano and the cultivated Colterenzio, starting from sandy and pebbly soil of drumlin origin. The position of the vineyard and the peculiarity of the soil realize a personal, elegant, balanced and fresh wine. The wine owns a straw yellow colour and it is considered a wonderful white wine, endowed with perfume and fruited hints, that remember the elderflower, acacia’s flowers and sage. It is a type of perfumed and pleasant wine, perfect if combined with fish platters, white meats and fresh cheeses.

The Colterenzio winery was established in 1960 by 28 wine makers, and in the course of the time more and more producers have added to them until the 300 of today: they work in a surface of 300 hectares. The quality of soils, as well as the wine of this locality was recognized around 15 before Christ., when Cornelius lodged there by laying the foundations for the Colterenzio vineyards. The cornerstones of the winery’s philosophy are naturalness, respect for traditions and use of modern technologies, in fact the three kind of wines that the cave produces, follow these ideas: there are classic wine, that people can drink everyday, Praedium wines, that are produced by Oltradige vineyards, and the great Cornell wines which have an enormous international value.
