The history of the Mumm winery dates back to 1827, when Peter Arnold Mumm understood the wine-making potential of the French Champagne region. It will be George Hermann Munn to give to the company the name and decisive impulse to enter in the foreign market with success. Not long afterwards, the epochal decision came: decorating the Champagne with a red ribbon, the famous "Cordon Rouge" which still stands out among the Champagne from all over the world.
