More info

This Vintage Tunina is a great wine produced passing through a selection procedure of the best Sauvignon’, Chardonnay’ s vineyards, in addition to Yellow Ribolla, Malvasia Istriana, Picolit: these grapes are picked up later, about two weeks later than the ordinary grape harvest. Vintage Tunina is the name of the old owner of the soil where the first vineyard lays, and it is dedicated to the poorest loving of Casanova, who was called Tunina (Antonia). The wine owns a brilliant straw yellow colour, with some golden reflexes and it is an elegant wine with an intense perfume, in addition to apple’, acacia’s flowers’, honey’s hints, without forgetting those of mature fruit and vanilla. The wine has a good structure and persistence: moreover it owns a balanced acidity with the softness. The Vintage Tunina wine is perfect if fresh served in combination with fish dinners, grilled or backed fish, white meats and medium seasoned cheeses.

Manufacturer

Jermann

In 1881 Anton Jermann, creator of this cave, decided to abandon the Austrian land of Burgenland and his estates in Slovenia, because he wanted to move to Friuli Venezia Giulia. Nowadays the cave is managed by Anton’s niece, Silvio, and the estate covers 150 hectares of white vineyards: the most important of them produces Vinnae, a type of wine created in 1983, that derives from the typical territory of Collio. Vinnae is a fresh and well-balanced wine, which respects all the characteristics of its soil. But the success of this winery derives from two kind of red wines , too: The Pignacolousse and the Mjzzu Blau&Blau.
