More info

The Mercurey Domaine de La Framboisiere is an elegant Pinot Noir with the name of the town “Mercurey” dedicated to the Mercurio god, ancient divinity of the commerce. Produced with carefully selected grapes coming from the Framboisière Domaine, it shows a wonderful ruby red colour with crimson reflexes; the bouquet is fascinating and fruity with scents of blackberries and currant, raspberry, in addition to vegetables and mentholated notes, on background of leather and licorice. The sip is powerful and fleshy, fragrant and persistent on the finish, with velvety tannins. The Mercurey Domaine de La Framboisiere is perfect to drink in combination with roasted red meat, game, medium seasoned cheese.

Manufacturer

The Domaine Faiveley was founded by Pierre Faiveley in 1825; for 7 generations the company has been handed down from father to son and the currently is owned by Erwin Faiveley. The Domaine Faiveley, located in Nuits-Saint-Georges, is considered the largest and most important maison of Borgogna thanks also to its vineyards that include the best cru of the region. Particular attention is paid to work in the vineyard, respecting nature and biodiversity. After the harvest, done strictly by hand and only when each bunch of grapes reached the ideal stage of ripening, the grapes are fermented on the indigenous yeast in open wooden vats. The wines are left to age in French oak barrels from 12 to 18 months and then they are bottled without filtration.
