More info

The Gattinara “Vigna Molsino” of Nervi winery is a red wine made with Nebbiolo grapes, grown in the famous cru of Molsino, at a height between 350 and 420 meters above sea level. The Gattinara “Vigna Molsino” presents a light ruby red colour. Its bouquet is fruity with scents of cherry and wild plum, with a final of moss, mint and eucalyptus. This wine offers an excellent structure and personality; in the mouth it is fresh and tannic, mineral. This wine is perfect if drunk in combination with red meats, game and roasts. It is also excellent with seasoned cheeses.

Nervi

The origins of the Nervi winery go back to the 1906, when Luigi Nervi decided to buy vineyards in Gattinara and to found a winery to vinify the Nebbiolo grapes. With about 27 hectares of vineyards of Nebbiolo among the hills at the foot of the “Monte Rosa”, the Nervi winery is still today the oldest winery of Gattinara and is a point reference of the North of Piedmont. Giacomo Conterno, a famous wine-maker that comes from the Langhe hills, acquired this winery in 2018. The Gattinara wines of Nervi are deep wines, austere and mineral: they are expression of a traditional style well recognizable.
