Etna Rosso Pietradolce 2016

This is an elegant red wine produced with grapes coming from the wonderful vineyards on the slope of the Etna; it shows a strong ruby red colour. The smell of it is intense with scents of blackberry and raspberry; in the mouth it’s complex and juicy. This wine is perfect if served in combination to Sicilian platters, red meat and medium-seasoned cheese.

Established in 2005, Pietradolce winery found its home in Solicchiata, a little area within the district of Castiglione di Sicilia, on the Northern slope of the Etna between 600 and 900 feet above sea level. The vineyards extend over an area of 11 hectares dividing them into 3 parts: two of them are in the territory of Rampante and the other one in the territory of Zottorinoto.
