More info

The Roero Riserva La Val Dei Preti by Matteo Correggia is an elegant red wine  based on Nebbiolo grapes that presents the typical peculiarities of Roero area. Its colour is a brilliant ruby red one, with orange-crowned nuances during the aging. Its smell owns an elegant, floral and fruited bouquet, with scents of violet, red currant, followed by jam’, vanilla’ and tobacco’s aroma. Furthermore, its taste is pleasantly dry, warm and soft, in addition to a great freshness. I ts elegance makes it perfect in combination with second platters based on meat, typical second courses of Piedmont and seasoned cheeses.

Matteo Correggia

The cave of Matteo Correggia produces a huge choice of wines with its grapes that derive from 20 hectares of vineyards. The wines are sons of soils, where the vineyards have their roots: sandy soils, poor of clay and of silt, but rich in mineral sails and so appropriate for the production of elegant wines and also rich and refined bouquets. Matteo Correggia inherited the cave of his family in 1985 and he decided to carry on an ambitious project: that is make and produce wines of quality in an underrated territory. Today the cave is managed by Ornella Costa, wife of Matteo, who is dead very soon.
