More info

Refined and elegant Barolo wine produced with Nebbiolo grapes, carefully selected deriving from the homonymous vineyard “Monvigliero” in Verduno. This wine presents a ruby red colour with auburn nuances; wine of great complexity, the smell of it reveals a charming, floral, and spiced bouquet in addition to scents of blueberries, jams, violet and black pepper. This wine is well-balanced, with a little bit of classical spirit. Furthermore, this wine is perfect in combination with platters based on red meats, as roasted and braised meat, game and platters cooked with the famous Alba white Truffle or seasoned cheeses.

Manufacturer

This cave was founded by Lorenzo Scavino and his son Paolo in 1921 in Castiglione Falletto. The winery counts about 23 hectares of vineyards, that allow the cave to sell 120000 bottles every year. Nowadays the wines’ production is managed by Enrico Scavino, together with his two daughters. The Scavino’s winery is known for its care and attention and for the belief that the viticulture is more important than the oenology. The wines distinguish themselves for the purity, the elegance and the twine of traditions and territories.
