Roero docg Riserva Valmaggiore Cascina Chicco 2017

The Roero Valmaggiore of Cascina Chicco is an elegant wine produced with the Nebbiolo grapes coming from different vineyards situated in the area of Valmaggiore, in the famous district of Vezza d’Alba. The wine presents an intense ruby red colour, while the smell of it includes floral and fruited perfumes, with scents of violet, raspberries, blackberries and mature fruit, besides spices. This wine is a warm one, furthermore it is endowed with pleasant softness and good structure; for these features it is perfect if drunk together with important platters based on meat, as roasts and game or medium seasoned cheeses.

The estate of Cascina Chicco has deep roots in the heart of the Roero and it explains the old rural culture and the passion for vineyards and wine of this territory. His consolidated tradition of wine makers has increased both by oenological modern competences, and by the other vineyards’ acquisitions in the most famous regions of the Roero. Today Cascina Chicco cultivates 35 hectares of vineyards all in hill, and the estate gains, with a great satisfaction, a huge production of Arneis, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Roero, Barbera d’Alba, Favorita and Brachetto.
