The Barolo docg Vigna Elena Riserva of Elvio Cogno is produced only in the best vintage with Nebbiolo grapes of sub Rosè clone (100% Rosè for many years now). The color is ruby red, full and shiny; its perfume has rose, tobacco, mint and licorice notes. The taste is enchanting with a fresh spice and red fruits with tannins flavor. It is perfect if drunk with game gravy, red roast meats and overcooked, boar stew and seasoned cheeses. To underline is the particular label, that was designed by Elena daughter when was 3 years old, which illustrate a chick. Ever since then, it has been the symbol of this excellent Barolo wine.
The Elvio Cogno winery was founded thanks to the dream of Elvio who, in Novello, wanted to start the production of the best wines that his land could offer him. The first step took place in 1961 with the production of the Barolo wine, which in less than twenty years conquered the international market. Today Nadia Cogno and Valter Fissore continue the work of the founder Elvio with an eye to sustainability and technological innovation.
