Malvirà’s wine production began in the 1950s under the guidance of Giuseppe Damonte. Giuseppe loved his land and recognized the great potential of the Roero region. The name comes from the local dialect term used for the old farmhouse that now houses the winery. Today, Malvirà is led by Giuseppe’s sons, Massimo and Roberto, who inherited the same dream and passion from their father. The two brothers have contributed to promoting the territory by producing high-quality wines that reflect the region’s unique character. The two native Roero grape varieties, Arneis and Nebbiolo, have thus reached top-level expressions, resulting in wines that are both elegant and complex. Malvirà’s strength, in addition to being a family-run winery with meticulous attention to quality and elegance, lies in its extraordinarily suitable terroir. By valuing each individual cru, the Damonte brothers have made Malvirà a benchmark for quality and regional development. The vineyards are rooted in clay and limestone hill soils at altitudes between 200 and 300 meters and benefit from excellent sun exposure.
