The Karl Fritsch winery represents a dynamic and innovative reality that has become a benchmark in the entire Austrian wine scene. The current owner took over his father’s estate in 1999, developing it through a forward-thinking and creative vision. His passionate and meticulous approach to winemaking has made him one of the leading vintners of the Wagram region and of Austria as a whole. While deeply rooted in tradition, the winery employs modern, organic, and biodynamic methods. All of its 25 hectares of estate vineyards are located in the Wagram region, where the dry and cool climate—moderated and influenced by the Danube River—allows Karl Fritsch to craft his wines at their best. Furthermore, the formation of Botrytis cinerea on the Riesling grapes enables the production of wines of great purity and personality, perfectly expressing the unique character of the Wagram terroir.
