Bovio winery was established in La Morra, in the province of Cuneo, the beating heart of the Langhe and the Barolo DOCG. Now in its third generation of producers, this small winery was founded in the 1970s when Gianfranco Bovio began managing his father Alessandro’s estates, with vineyards covering an area of 6.5 hectares. Today, Alessandra and her husband Marco carry on the family tradition, firmly rooted in respect for their values and the characteristics of the territory, yet always with a modern and forward-looking approach. In the vineyard as well as in the cellar, every procedure is careful and precise. They cultivate the native grape varieties typical of the area: Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto, alongside a smaller production of Sauvignon. The winemaking processes are traditional and include long aging periods in large oak casks. The winery’s flagship wines are undoubtedly the Barolos with geographical mentions (Rocchettevino, Arborina, and Gattera), alongside the historic classic Barolo made from grapes sourced from vineyards in La Morra, Barolo, and Castiglione Falletto.
