ARGIOLAS
Argiolas winery was established at the beginning of the Nineteenth century by Antonio Argiolas. He owned a 3-hectare plot in Seridiana, near Cagliari, Sardinia. There, the first vineyard was planted, in a territory used to grow olive and fruit trees. Over the years, the family bought several plots, increasing the wine production and keeping the winery a family business.
Within the winemaking panorama, Argiolas means innovation and experimentation. The founder created a vineyard planting over 500 different autochthone vine varieties from Sardinia, starting from Parteolla hills to Sulcis, always taking the terroir and the territory biodiversity into account.
Currently, Argiolas owns 5 estates in many wine areas. Seridiana is the most beloved territory and it has been chosen to host the historical winery; Trexenta hosts 3 different estates; Sulcis is the last one. The yearly production covers more than 2 million bottles, with a very high-quality standard of production, and the winery is famous for the cultivation and protection of the local vine varieties.
