Lis Neris Winery is one of the most interesting realities in Friuli Venezia Giulia, carrying on its success for four generations. It was founded in 1879, and the current owner, Alvaro Pecorari, has continued his father’s tradition, producing exceptional white wines while highlighting the unique characteristics of each grape variety and the local terroir. The perfect soil conditions, favored by proximity to the Adriatic Sea and the Bora winds, have allowed the winery to produce outstanding, harmonious, and balanced wines while avoiding any form of herbicide, establishing Lis Neris as a true excellence of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The 74 hectares of vineyards grow on the most suitable part of a small plateau formed by gravel deposits carried down by melting glaciers. The nearby sea and the cool Balkan winds provide the ideal temperature variation, essential for producing exceptional white wines. In the warmer areas of Corona and Romans, red grape vineyards are cultivated.
