GILLARDI
The farmhouse and lands of Azienda Agricola Gillardi are located in Farigliano, in the heart of the Langa Monregalese. Here, in 1923, great-grandfather Giovanni Battista—having returned from Provence, where he had emigrated at the end of the 19th century—purchased the Corsaletto farmhouse and most of the vineyards that are still owned by the estate today. The Gillardi winery initially produced mainly Dolcetto, which until the early 1980s was sold in bulk. It was the arrival of Giacolino that convinced everyone it was time to start bottling their own wine. In 1993, thanks to his growing experience, Giacolino Gillardi decided to cultivate, alongside Dolcetto, prestigious international grape varieties, which gave birth to Harys, Merlò, and Granè. The winemaking philosophy has always been rooted in respect for the surrounding environment: organic vineyard management with seasonal green manures, natural fertilizers, exclusively mechanical weeding, and minimal use of copper and its derivatives, ensuring full respect for biodiversity.
