JACQUESSON
Jacquesson is a historic, small-scale winery located in Dizy, at the foot of the Montagne de Reims in the heart of the prestigious Champagne production region. Mimme Jacquesson, from whom the company takes its name, founded the winery in 1798, and it immediately achieved great success—so much so that Jacquesson Champagne was highly appreciated even by Napoleon. Today, thanks to production methods focused on high quality, Maison Jacquesson represents one of the most prestigious Champagne producers. The grapes worked by Jacquesson are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier, sourced from the Grand Cru villages of Avize and Oiry in the Côte des Blancs, and Aÿ in the Vallée de la Marne, as well as the Premier Cru villages of Dizy and Hautvillers, also in the Vallée de la Marne. The production of the legendary Jacquesson Champagne is divided into three lines: the lieu-dits line, which includes vintage Champagnes produced only in the best years and coming from a single prestigious lieu-dit; the famous ‘Cuvée 7**’ range; and the ‘Dégorgement Tardif’ version of the same ‘Cuvée 7**’. Regardless of the label, the common thread in Jacquesson production is the vibrant and profound personality of each individual bottle.
