COMM. G.B. BURLOTTO
The Tenuta di Burlotto is located near Verduno and was founded by Commendatore Giovan Battista Burlotto in the second half of the 19th century, before Italy had experienced the upheavals of unification. The wines quickly became a benchmark in the Langhe region, and the estate was initially established in an 18th-century palace. Thanks to Giovan Battista’s foresight, the winery immediately stood out in the local wine scene, as it began offering wines in bottles at a time when in the Langhe wine was sold exclusively in demijohns or barrels. Soon, Burlotto wines became synonymous with high quality and prestige, to the point that the estate became the official supplier to the House of Savoy. Over time, the company’s philosophy has always focused on technological innovation to support traditional and authentic production methods. The current owner, Marina Burlotto, manages 12 hectares of vineyards in the Verduno, Barolo, and Roddi areas, producing an average of 60,000 bottles.
