Maison Anselmet is a small family-run winery that dates back to 1585, when a vineyard was purchased in the Villeneuve area, near Aosta. In 1978, Renato Anselmet began producing wine, but only for personal consumption. Over time, his son Giorgio began selecting grape varieties, introducing technical and technological innovations, and expanding the vineyard area, transforming a small family business into a significant presence in the wine world. Maison Anselmet’s vineyards cover about ten hectares, spread across more than 60 small plots dedicated both to international varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, and Riesling, and to local grape varieties such as Petite Arvine, Moscato Bianco, Petit Rouge, Cornalin, Fumin, and Mayolet—grapes rediscovered and greatly enhanced by the Anselmet family. The vines grow on sandy and silty morainic soils, at altitudes ranging from 550 to 900 meters above sea level. Maison Anselmet wines are elegant and refined expressions, always offering sublime balance, thanks in part to perfectly measured use of oak.
