Giovanni Almondo Agricultural Estate is a small, family-run winery, as it was at the time of its founding. Over the decades, Giovanni Almondo has established a reputation for excellence and quality, becoming one of the most emblematic wine estates in the region. The Almondo family has been recorded in the registers of the municipality of Montà since the 14th century, highlighting the deep bond between the family and the land. The estate aims to consolidate the recognized quality of its wines and promote an image of regional excellence. Its aspiration is to produce wines that reflect the character of Roero—its soil, its values—while respecting tradition and embracing innovation. Today, the Almondo family carefully tends the 15 hectares of vineyards in Montà with dedication: chemical interventions are minimal, cover crops are always maintained, and weeding is done by hand. Special credit goes to Domenico, who recognized the potential of certain grape varieties and the Roero terroir, which is incredibly well-suited to optimal grape ripening. In 2015, a new winery was inaugurated, featuring functional spaces equipped with cutting-edge technology, primarily dedicated to the vinification of Arneis.
