Montiano Famiglia Cotarella 2018

Montiano is 100% Merlot red wine; since the first vintages it has been defined as one of the greatest and most innovative Italian reds: in fact, it was one of the first Italian wines to be produced with 100% Merlot grapes, moreover produced in an area traditionally cultivated by white berried grapes. It’s colour is ruby red. The bouquet is wide and complex with notes of red fruits, jam, sweet spices and vanilla. In the mouth it is intense and round, soft and elegant with persistent fruity notes. To be served with structured main dishes and red meat.

Famiglia Cotarella was established in the Sixties, in Monterubigliano by Antonio and Domenico Cotarella. In 1979, Renzo and his brother Riccardo established Falesco. The following generation, headed by their three daughters, gave birth to Cotarella new brand. In 2017, Le Macioche vinery in Tuscany was purchased: this way, the family was able to enter the market producing wine coming from this prestigious area. Along with the Italian production, Liaison brand is part of the property: it represents the connection of the family with some foreign wine maisons, whose excellent wines are distributed by Cotarella.
